ABOUT ME:

Sachi Figliolini is a rising junior at Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bellevue, WA and a native of Kanagawa, Japan and Waltham, MA. She enjoys doing physics and chemistry research, having presented her findings at the Washington Section Meeting of the American Association of Physics Teachers and winning the Microsoft SuperNova best newcomer award at her regional Science Fair. Sachi has also been selected to perform research at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory at Michigan State University and the Sacred Heart Schools Juvenile Justice program in Chicago. She has studied computer science for two years as part of the Microsoft TEALS program and is versant in Java and Vernier Logger Pro. She is also fluent in Japanese and has competed in regional competitions as part of her school’s varsity tennis team. In her free time, Sachi enjoys playing with her school’s handbell group and being a class officer in her student government.
