ABOUT ME:

Imre Pázsit is professor at the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden, with a state-endowed chair. He is an internationally leading expert in the theory of neutron fluctuations in multiplying systems and in general in random processes in particle transport and detection. He is the lead author of the decisive monograph in the field on neutron fluctuations, written together with L. Pál, the founder of the mathematical theory of neutron noise in nuclear systems. I. Pázsit is an author of about 200 papers in international journals, as well as numerous reports and conference proceedings and book chapters. He is a Fellow of the American Nuclear Society, and a Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. He is also a member of the Royal Society of Arts and Sciences in Gothenburg. He is an adjunct professor at the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences of the University of Michigan, and a Visiting Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of South Carolina. As from late 2013, he is Executive Edtior of the journal Annals of Nuclear Energy
