2014 Wolfram Science Summer School, June 29 - July 18

Posted 10 years ago
Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that Wolfram will be hosting its annual Wolfram Science Summer School from June 29 - July 18, 2014 at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts (that's just outside of Boston).

Follow this link to the Summer School website, for more info.

The Summer School just might be perfect for you if:

Your knowledge of Mathematica will go a long way towards your success at the Summer School, since the entire Summer School, including the lectures and your projects, is presented using Mathematica. However, if you're a beginner we also have classes at the beginning of the school which are geared towards helping you get to the level you'll need in order to do serious research in Mathematica

This thread will be for questions about the Summer School, and for suggesting possible project ideas. To get an idea for what the projects are like, please see the alumni pages (each alumnus name links to a project description).

You forgot to mention that it's a good time!

That's true, Pete, it's super fun. The most common comment we get at the end is how much of a great time everyone had, how many friends and connections they made, and how they'd love to come back! We always get such a nice mix of people from different disciplines and age groups, and it's not hard to find people who share your research or personal interests. I go into each year expecting to meet several people who share interests and, ultimately, become friends -- and it's been true each time!
