Step-by-step solution unavailable?

Posted 10 years ago

I just joined the pro in order to see the step-by-step solution of a limit calculation. But after I became Pro and clicked on the step-by-step solution, the site gave me "Step-by-step solution unavailable." So, anyone knows what this means and how to deal with it? Thanks. my query was "limit of ((1+a)(1+1/a)^(2a)-aexp(2))/(exp(2)-(1+1/a)^(2a)) as a goes to +?"

What it means is that Wolfram|Alpha does not know how to show steps for this example.
Teaching Wolfram|Alpha to show steps is an on-going project.

No space needed, Alpha interprets it as a multiplication in this instance.

I'm not saying that an explicit multiplication or a space would be a bad idea though.

Don't you need a multiplication sign between a and exp(2) ?
