V10 NDSolve output

I am now using version 10 and I used an example of NDSolve that came from the mathematica program. It's not my work. I have attached the file of the little program. My ? is after executing the first line of code there is a rectangle below it. It has a positive sign and a little plot. When I hit the "+" sign more information comes up. My ? is what is the purpose of this rectangle? I ran the same program in V9 and it is not there. It's something new with V10 and I would sure like to know what it is and its purpose.

Thanks Jake

It's the new way of showing Interpolating functions.
