Hi all. apologies if this is covered; it's very hard to search for "R"!!
Quick one: incredibly excited about WL, never used WM and only recently started learning to code in R for fisheries statistics modelling, especially for maps. My question is: can someone who knows about R and WM please tell me how much overlap there is, how easy it would be for an R novice to become a mathematica/language novice, and especially whether it's possible to import or transcode R functions, e.g. I'm currently using Boosted Regression Trees so I'd love to be able to do everything quickly & more easily in WL if possible now, or in the future.
Thanks. Sorry that this is quite basic, I'm still getting to grips with the Wolfram suite.
This is a must read in any case: Why Would a Mathematica User Care about R?
Wow. Game changer. Cheers Sam, that's so awesome.
Bye bye R!! Now I just need to work out how I actually GET Wolfram Language! :P
