Handwriting Input of Mathematical Expression using a graphic tablet in Wolf

Posted 10 years ago

Hi,

I'm wondering if direct input of mathematical expressions using a graphic tablet in Wolfram Alpha website.

I run Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and a Wacom Tablet and it doesn't allow me to handwrite mathematical expressions.

The latest version of MathType only allows copy and paste of mathematical expressions rather than direct input on Wolfram Alpha website.

Any suggestion on the issue is greatly appreciated.

The answer I think is, in short, no. The input into Wolfram Alpha is linear text. So, I suppose if you have handwriting recognition software that can translate directly into simple ascii text, then it would be doable.
