Control + 9 Crash in Mathematica 10

Posted 9 years ago

Greetings,

I just purchased Mathematica 10 Home Edition. Control + 9 (start inline cell) crashes Mathematica every time! It worked fine in Mathematica 9. Has anyone experienced this grievous glitch?

I'm so disgusted I'm considering switching to another "M" (Maple or MatLab).

I'm using Windows 8.1 64-bit with Mathematica 10.0.2 and don't have that problem. Did you upgrade to 10.0.2 from 10.0.0?

No, I went from 9 straight to 10.0.2.5

Hi Dean, I'm also on Win 7 x64. ctrl-9 does nothing on my system -- no crash and no evident function. And I can't find it listed among the keyboard shortcuts. Maybe some other application is reacting to it?

Kind regards, David

It's an inline cell found under Typesetting: enter image description here

Thanks -- I found it -- and it works fine on my win7 x64 machine.

Works fine here too - Mathematica 10.0.2.0 Windows 7 64 Bit Home Premium.

That's unlikely - my computer is quite vanilla. Thanks.

I'm usiig Windows 7, 64-bit and 10.0.2 (downloaded Thursday). And thanks for your quick reply.

Hi Dean,

I am license administrator for a site license at a University. I use Mathematica for teaching and research. In my classes many hundreds of students have used Mathematica on many different types of computers and setups. I have not yet heard of that issue. I cannot reproduce it either. So I would say that this is not a common issue.

What exact OS are you using? Are you using Mathematica 10.0.2?

Cheers,

Marco
