boundary conditions problems

Posted 9 years ago

Hi every one. can any one help me to solve this equations in mathematica? Thank you

y1(x)=B1e(-ibx)+C1e(bx) y2(x)=A2e(ibx)+D2e(-bx) 1:y1(0)=y2(0) 2:y1'(0)=y2'(0) 3:y1''(0)=y2''(0) 4:y1'''(0)-y2'''(0)=1/EJ

EJ= constant value

we should find B1,C1,A2 and D2 while all the conditions are satisfied. Thank you

This looks like a homework problem.

You have shown the four equations, but you haven't shown how to use Mathematica to find each of those four exactly.

Do that first.

Then look up Reduce or Solve in the documentation.

That should be enough of a hint.

I tried to solve but I could not define 4 conditions to solve.

... while all the conditions are satisfied.

The first condition is to bring the problem in a form it can be treated with Mathematica. Did you try anything?
