Never coded in my life, need help exporting to 3D!

Posted 9 years ago

Hi, So I have a dilemma that I'm hoping someone here will be kind enough to help me out with. I have zero experience in coding, not one line of code. I've never used Mathematica or anything like it before. I need a way to generate an asymmetric trigonal trapezohedron (aka a skew dice), and export it to a 3D-format like DWG, DXF, Sketchup or anything really. I've downloaded the Wolfram StreptohedronAndTrapezohedron-source from the Demonstration file provided here, but now I have no idea what to do... All I need is to export some different variations to try out. Please help!

Look at these 2 posts on this forum:

I got my 3D shape to print by exporting to STL format and uploaded it to shapeways.com.

Ok, so I've started doing some really basic tutorials to understand Mathematica, and although I find this very interesting, this is going to take me ages. I would be truly thankful if anyone could just give me instructions on how to perform the Export-command properly so I can move along with my design work!
