interpreting dot files as graphs

Posted 9 years ago

Hi,

how can I force wolfram alpha to interpret uploaded dot files as a graph? If I use terms as "vertex count" or "basic properties", it will be interpreted as a "mathematical definition".

The dot files are relatively large, but the internal structure itself isn't complex. A few nodes and edges can be parsed without any problems; with a few hundred nodes, I will get the described behaviour.

Kindly

Tim

The queries you metioned work on the example files:

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=basic+properties&examplefile=1&fileinput=FileUpload%2FBowTie.gxl&examplefile=1&fileinput=FileUpload%2FBowTie.gxl

I'm afraid the most likely answer is that the file is too big and Wolfram|Alpha won't work with it. If you want to work with larger files, your best bet is to use Mathematica online:
