SVG export Mathematica 10.3.

Posted 9 years ago

Hello, I am a new user to Mathematica (10.3.). I would like to export a plot as a SVG file. For a simple 2D plots like Plot[Sin[x],{x,0,6.28}] it works fine. I was using Export function.

But for BarChart3D the output SVG file is in fact a raster image. Is there any way how to export 3D bar chart as a true vector image? In Mathematica 9 it worked correctly.

Thanks, Robert

For 3D, Mathematica does not export SVG as vector graphics, it just puts an encoded png image inside svg file. There was a similar question at stackexchange few days ago. I do not see it. It must have been deleted, but here is another one on the same issue export-plot3d-in-mathematica-10-1-is-rasterized-by-default You can try "eps" export instead and see if it works.
