Visualize quantum states with Plot3D or listplot3D?

Hello All world
is that possible, if yes: how to make my figures (right) as the styles of these figures (left),enter image description here

I found it in an article . I used Mathematica 10.4 thank you in advance

For the left hand side perhaps start with

ContourPlot[E^-(x^2+y^2), {x,-4,4}, {y,-4,4}, Contours->10, PlotRange->{0,1}, FrameLabel->{"Q","P"}]

and then expect to begin, literally endlessly, playing with all the options to adjust the ColorFunction, Contours, PlotRange, labels, ... trying to get closer and closer to what you want the graphic to look like.
