Calculate Integral in Wolfram|Alpha?

Posted 8 years ago

I try to calculate the following integral:

$$ \int_{0}^{\infty}\frac{e^{-q x} \left(r^x (w-u)-w\right)}{\log (r)}dx, 0<r<1, q>=0 $$

in Wolfram|Alpha. But I get freeze without any message about 'time exceed'. What may cause the problem?

Thank you very much! It works great!

Using slightly different notation

Assuming[{0<r<1,q>0},Integrate[q E^(-q x)(r^x(w-u)-w)/Log[r], {x,0,Infinity}]]

click here

it worked a moment ago. I'm not convinced that the changes I made had anything to do with the different result. Maybe it was just "resting" when you tried.
