Import a .ps file into Mathematica?

Hallo to all, I'm Davide Cericola, writing from Bologna, Italy. I'm doing the master degree's thesis, and my teacher asked me to use Mathematica for importing a .ps file for extrapolating an image and work on it. My problem is that I'm trying to import the .ps file (it is a paper), but is not working. The problem is that Mathematica is not able to find the file. I've tried using the exact location inside the pc (a Mac), and just saying Import["nameoffile"], using the extension, and without using it. Nothing worked.

Can you help me?

Ok, i've found how to find the file inside the pc. Now the problem is:

1) Stack underflow 2) expected numero for color component 3) could now draw page 10 stream 0 4) further output of import::general will be suppressed during this calculation.

GhostScript can sometimes clean up ps and pdf.

Is there a version also for mac?

On a Mac I would convert the ps file to pdf, and then drag-and-drop the pdf into an open notebook. This works for me most of the time.

Nope. Always §Aborted. The error is: Unknown Filter type /JBIG2Decode
