Add an additional kernel to a laptop Mathematica via a Raspberry pi kernel?

Posted 7 years ago

I am trying to add additional Kernels for my Laptop Mathematica by connecting laptop with Raspberry pi.

I have had downloaded Wolfram + Raspberry Pi Remote Development Control Panel.

Firstly I connect my laptop with raspberry pi from a switch. Then I gave signed static IP address for both raspberry pi and laptop. I used laptop as network host. After, I tested the pinging between my laptop with the raspberry pi, it was successfully pinging.

When I configured Pi and tried the Pi Test and Example Notebook

enter image description here

I got an error message

The kernel Raspberry Pi failed to connect to the front end. (Error = MLECONNECT). You should try running the kernel connection outside the front end.

I have no idea what is that error

Hello,

Are you able to ssh into the machine with the following:

ssh pi@10.0.0.3

If you aren't then that suggests your network isn't setup appropriately or perhaps that the ssh server hasn't been enabled on the pi.

Thanks,

Ian

the connection is fine i can transfer data between them but just unable to active the raspberry kernel. I want to use my laptop as a host to use raspberry kernel to do work. In other word i want to combine my laptop kernels with raspberry pi.

Thank you for reply
