Interrupt longrunners in desktop frontend of Programming Lab on Windows 10?

Posted 7 years ago

I am talking about the desktop frontend of Programming Lab on Windows 10.

Normally one can interrupt execution of a running notebook with Alt+",".

But during long running standard functions like "Sort" this does not work. Actually I cannot interrupt a Sort of a huge list (some millions). There seems to be no way but canceling the desktop process with Windows task manager, which is of course not desirable.

I'm afraid, this was a missinformation or question. Alt+"," works. Even during Sort and the like.

I think there is a completly different problem with the desktop frontend. Sometimes after "Save" (to cloud) the whole environment seems to freeze in some sense. You can no longer see the editor insertion point (cursor) and Shift+Enter for Evaluation does not work. Very strange. I don't understand what's going on.

(I have Version 11.0.1.0 of Programming Lab and its desktop, Windows 10, 64bit. I did not notice this kind of problems with earlier versions.).
