ABOUT ME:

Hi, I'm Erik! Currently I am a student in my fourth year of undergraduate study. I am a biochemistry major, and a mathematics minor. I also tutor for various biology, chemistry and math courses. I love chemistry, and enjoy helping friends an peers conquer the tough classes such as Organic Chemistry!

This year, I was nominated to the Honors Program, and am working on a bioinformatics project. The goal is to design a program that can read a list of amino acids (uploaded from a protein database), and pick out palindromes, which are mirror-image sequences (such as ABCDDCBA). To design this program, I have decided that Wolfram Mathematica would be most ideal.

I decided on using Mathematica for a variety of reasons: It is accessible to my campus, it is powerful enough to handle the string-operations and counting operations for the program I intend to design, and best of all it has a splendid and helpful community!

If you have any questions for me, need any sort of help, or just would like someone to talk to, don't be afraid to send me a tell! And if I have any questions, well, I'll probably be all over the forums!
