ReplacePixelValue was a broken function in version 12.2. In Mathematica version 12.3 it was fixed, nevertheless, it is taking an awfully long time for an example image (~ 11+ seconds) versus 0.033 seconds in version 12.0. Are there any workaround for the massive hit this function has taken for speed? Please see the attached notebook below
I have approximately 200 images that I need to process and at this rate it will take 36 mins in version 12.3 compared to something just under a minute in version 12.0.
It is such a pity that such important functions are not checked/tested thoroughly before a new version release.
