Start remote kernel on Mathematica 9.0 on Mac OS El Capitan?

Posted 7 years ago

Hi,

Hope this is the right place to post this but I'm having problems hooking up Mathematica 9.0 using remote kernels. I've found the command to run the kernel Mathkernel, but when I run it it fails to start with the error below

mac-strider:~ nwalton$ /Applications/Mathematica\ 9.app/Contents/MacOS/MathKernel
dyld: Library not loaded: /Volumes/Developer/buildmgr/Components/SQLite/3.6.1/Source/snowleopard/lib/libsqlite3.0.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/Mathematica 9.app/Contents/MacOS/MathKernel
  Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap: 5

The machine has never run snow leopard nor have I installed sqlite beforehand. I have a trial of Mathematica 11.0 running fine on the same machine, and 9.0 runs fine from the GUI.

Any help would be very welcome.
