Any chance to revive old notebooks

I have saved in my hard drive the notebook from the following Wolfram library archive (lapidus.nb).
Breakthrough curves for adsorption with longitudinal diffusion under equilibrium assumption -- from Wolfram Library Archive
I was able to run it I think up to version 9, but unfortunately in the last Mathematica version it doesn’t open to something meaningful even if I try both suggested options such as:

  • convert to updated styling or
  • revert to older styling.
    What can we do in such cases with old notebooks ?
