Running the notebook
The notebook is designed to be readable without executing any code — all figures are pre-rendered. But if you want to run it yourself, you’ll need the light-curve CSV data files.
I’ve now attached fetch_lightcurve.wl and fetcher_common.wl to this post. (Note: fetch_lightcurve.wl was renamed from .wls to .wl for attachment compatibility — it works identically.)
To generate the data:
1. Download all four attached files (the notebook, tess_transit_helpers.wl, fetch_lightcurve.wl, and fetcher_common.wl)
2. Place fetch_lightcurve.wl and fetcher_common.wl in a wolfram/ subfolder next to the notebook
3. Run: wolframscript -file wolfram/fetch_lightcurve.wl
This downloads the raw FITS files from the MAST archive and exports tidy CSVs into a data/ folder. After that, the notebook should evaluate without errors.
Alternatively, you can clone the full repo (git clone https://github.com/mthiel74/TESSexoplanets.git) and everything is already in place — just run the fetch script and open community/tess_transit.nb.
The underlying TESS data is public domain (NASA/MAST).
Here is a direct link to the data.
