Change the input cell's font?

Hi, everyone. I am now using Mathematica 11.1 in Windows 10 to write reports. I found that I cannot change “input” cell’s font and I also found that the font displayed in notebook is not what it sets in sheet style. The problems are below:

Click [Format] → [Edit Sheet Style] → [Choose a style] → Select [input] , then using “Font…” menu to set the font of “input”.

  1. The default font is “Times New Roman”, but the font displayed in notebook is NOT.
  2. Setting the font to other styles, say, “Courier New”, even the font in sheet style IS changed, but the font in notebook IS NOT.

Are they bugs in Mathematica or my setting method is WRONG?

You need to change the default font. For example, changing it to Courier:

SetOptions[$FrontEnd, StyleHints -> {"CodeFont" -> "Courier"}]

You can, but instead of FontFamily you should change StyleHints as shown above.
