Could not make 3d plots (Linux Box)

Hi,
I have just installed the student version of Mathematica on my Linux Box, and have problems with the 3d plots. It just gives me a black square box with nothing in it. The Kconsole says “failed to link program”.
Any clues on how to fix it?

When contacting them, include a Mathematica notebook where you have evaluated the command SystemInformation[]. This command produces a box filled with information about your machine that will help this diagnose the issue.
