# Create an outer surface on 3D-Point-Cloud?

Hello Here,

I am interested in creating a closed surface of given, mostly random positioned points in 3D space.  
I started with the ConvexHullMesh but it does not fulfill my needs, because I also want the enclosed volume to be as small as possible (I mean, just not to loose surface information due to the way convex hull works).

I hope the image helps you to understand my needs.

Later on, I will be interested in smoothing the surface. That might be nice, if you also have some thoughts on it.
