I have an encoder hooked up to the I2C bus on RPI 3. The Mathematica built-in i2c driver works fine and I can read the encoder (10 bytes). I’m using dat = Dynamic[DeviceRead[enc, 10]] and I see the numbers change as the encoder value changes. What I failed to do so far is to access the individual bytes in dat.
I know that Dynamic[] is just for the front end to show dat and dat is not a List. Could anyone explain to me how to get to the bytes?
