Hi,
I want to calculate the derivative of a function d(nu), where the derivative should be taken with respect to the order, and the order of this function is a complex number. Can anybody tell me the formula for this derivative? how can I do it in Wolfram?
Very interesting. Wikipedia has a lot to say.
An example:
Thanks for your reply, But Bessel J or BesselH only works for simple number, not for complex nu , so your code is working in mathmetica for complex nu ?
Mathematica can compute. My code working with complex nu.
Okay thank you for letting me know but cn you write down here what is the exact formula for this derivative?, don’t use any code just write down the formula.
Formula:
Thank you so much. Currently, I have no access to MATHMETICA as I am a student. Is there any way I can use this code in MATLAB?
You may use Mathematica for FREE on Wolfram Cloud, only you need sign in.
Using Gemini 2.5 AI ,I’m convert Mathematica to MATLAB.
See attached txt.files.

Thank you so much! I will let you know here if I need any other help with this derivative.
