Hi, i’m trying to understand how i can write on wolfram alpha a series where i have a variable and i need to study the caracter of the series.
here an example, i have the series of
[n-arctan(n!)]/n^x with n=1 to inf and x>0
how can i write inside wolfram alpha so that it tells me for which values of x the series converge or is divergent

I’m not sure if you mean a sequence or a series. If you want to see whether a sequence converges, try expressing the problem as a limit. If you want to see whether a series converges, write out the summation and see what it returns.
It’s of course possible that the problem might be a bit too much to expect from Wolfram|Alpha. If that’s the case, you might consider using Mathematica Online: http://www.wolframcloud.com
