Indentation of code cells question

Just curious. Why do braces not align as expected in the first cell of my notebook? They align as expected when the notebook is attached here. The difference is obvious by comparing the included notebook with the attached image.

I don’t know why, but the culprit seems to be the /. t -> 0 after the last closed brace. It happens in this simpler situation too:

{a,
 a}
{a,
  a} 1

The presence of the 1 shifts the preceding element one place to the right.

First, I’ve noticed occasional disparities with how desktop Mathematica typesets code and cloud Mathematica typesets code. I have no explanation for them other than the different systems are programmed to do different things, apparently.

Other than that, on my desktop Mathematica, arguments to a function following an \[IndentingNewLine] are indented one more space when they are put inside another function; an argument to a function that is on the same line as the function is not indented. The more deeply an argument is nested, the more it is indented.

Now, “put inside another function” needs explanation. I probably will fail, though; but I hope not. Because of the variation in input syntax that is allowed, we have expr /. t -> 0 representing ReplaceAll[expr, t -> 0]: In it, expr is put inside another function by /. t -> 0. expr 2 represents Times[expr, 2]: Again, expr is put inside another function. And so on.

Perhaps also “arguments to a function” needs clarification. In {a, b}, the symbols a and b are arguments to List. If a return is typed before the b, it inserts \[IndentingNewLine] into the input boxes, which causes b to be indented according to how deeply it is nested inside other functions.

Examples:

func[a,
 b] (*indented 1*)
g@func[a, (*not indented*)
  b] (*indented 2*)
func[a, (*not indented*)
  b] 2 (*indented 2*)
g@func[a, (*not indented*)
   b] 2 (*indented 3*)

It works the same with {a, b} in place of func[a, b] (both with a return before b).
