Install the package for FEM?

Hi,

I want to solve coupled PDEs by using finite element method using Mathematica. I want to install the package for FEM.

I am looking for the zip file for the package Needs[“NDSolveFEM”]

Can any one help me that from which website I can download this file to install the package in Mathematica on my system.

Hi Ijaz,

There should be no need to install anything. What version of Mathematica are you running? What happens when you execute Needs["NDSolve`FEM`"]?

Thanks very much for your kind reply. I am using the Mathematica 11. When I try to execute the Needs Needs[“NDSolveFEM”] nothing appears next just empty and cursor blinking. Do you think I should use Mathematica 12 for solving coupled problems of partial differential equations using finite element method.

No output is the normal result of successfully loading a package (unless the package includes code to print out something when it loads). Otherwise you would see some error message.

You can check that the package has, in fact, loaded, by asking what (non-Private) objects it defines:

 ?NDSolve`FEM`*
