Hello,
Any example of optical spectra (IR absorption) deconvolution (detection and fitting of absorption lines and bands) with Wolfram Mathematica?
Thanks in advance,
Michael

This is not exactly what you are looking for, but it might be relevant. I came across it some time ago:

What is Spectroscopy?
Each element in the universe has a unique signature given by a sequence of wavelengths or frequencies that can be represented by spectral lines. These lines are equivalent to the transition energy between atomic orbitals; that is, the energy an electron needs to emit or absorb to move to different energy levels.
Why is this relevant?
These unique signatures can tell us a lot about the properties of an element. But perhaps a more …
Best wishes,
Marco

Thanks Marco,
it’s not exactly straight applicable but the approach (spectrum matching to the library of spectral data) is exactly what I was targeting.

Michael
