How can i compute the formula for the energy level of a finite potential well using Wolfram Language?
See many examples at Demonstrations, this example of Eigenproblem and also NDEigensystem function.
Hi Daniel,
Richard Gass from the Department of Physics at University of Cincinnati has written Numerical Solutions to the Schrödinger Equation
in Mathematica. I haven’t had the time look at it in detail, but It looks to be an introduction to 1D quantum mechanics and is very detailed. Check it out if interested at Numerical Solutions to the Schrödinger Equation
You also might try chapters 2 and 3 in Introduction to Nanoelectronics by Vladimir V. Mitin. I got the books because of my interested in electron transport in semiconductors and nanostructures (see chapter 6-8). Many of the sections can easily be converted to Mathematica by hand. Amazon.com
Jay, thank you very much for referencing the notebook! Richard Gass is a member of this community and I will let him know his book is discussed. Great references indeed!
Hi Vitaliy,
That is so good to hear and yes It looks like a great reference. Clearly Richard has put a lot of effort into it.
thanks a lot for your support, really appreciate your concern
