Getting the section headings should be simple, but automatically labeling images and graphics maybe requires AI?
There are some new regulations regarding digital accessibility which go into effect in a few months. It’d be a long solution to edit the pdfs in Word or something like that.
I had the same question and sent a request to Wolfram Support. Here is their response that I received today (11/10/25)
“Thank you for contacting Wolfram Technical Support.
I understand that you want to create a tagged PDF from Mathematica.
Mathematica does not have built-in functionality to add structural or accessibility tags to PDF files programmatically.
Please use a dedicated PDF editing tool to add or modify these types of tags.”
