Set the default line indent for new Notebooks?

I have noticed that multiline list items are always displayed with a Line indent of 2. I know I can fix this by using a Style function, such as

Style[listTest, “Text”, LineIndent → 0]

But, I was wondering if there is a way to set this by default for all new Notebooks?

Use the Option Inspector, look for LineIndent and change it to 0 for your notebook.

Or you can do this from a SetOptions command to change that.

Thanks Neil, that’s very helpful. I hadn’t experimented with the Options Inspector before.

Interestingly, attempting to change the Global preference caused a Mathematica crash. I will have to see if I can reproduce that behaviour.
