This is great. But I am curious as to what the use cases for this are. That said, I am sure there are some good ones, but I can’t think of one at the moment.

Mike, for example to get data from NASA where most datasets are in SHP format, such as this one: US Fire Map: NASA Fire Information For Resource Management System (FIRMS)
