how to use mathematica for plotting special functions?

Look up the precise spelling and capitalization and general information about the function.

Look up that name in the help pages and click on Options and Details to see additional information.

Then use Plot or Plot3D or etc.

Plot[PolyGamma[z], {z, 1, 5}]
