The pizza agent: How can I use MCP to build agents with Mathematica?

Recently, OpenAI adopted the MCP protocol created by Anthropic to facilitate the development of AI agents.

In this video, we have an interesting example of MCP usage, where one of ElevenLabs’ developers demonstrates ordering a pizza using their newly released MCP server integrated with Anthropic.

Is it already possible to achieve something similar using Mathematica? Any example?

Perhaps this may be of use: MCP server using Wolfram Language

Rodrigo, this is definitely coming (as evidenced by Vitaliy’s link to Rick’s repo)

Would be interesting to know what you (and others) see as the ‘killer use case’ for this; in other words where would you use a Wolfram Language (or Wolfram|Alpha) MCP agent the most and for what purposes?

What if I wanted to say call out to a REPL on some other platform/website to evaluate a function e.g. Clojure (#(+ % 1) 2) to return 3, like a Wolfram Notebook can natively use (#+1 &)[2]?
