What's the pronunciation of Mathematica?

Yeah, I’m asking about the pronunciation of the word Mathematica. According to the speeches of Stephen, it seems to be /mæθə’mætikɑ/, but I’ve never found it in any dictionary.

I can obtain a canonical answer in this forum, right?

I’m not sure about the official pronunciation, but for me the name feels like coming from Sir Isaac Newton’s Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, so maybe read it as Latin?

/ma.tʰ…Oh seems that I need to learn more about international phonetic alphabet…

The pronunciation given on the page is

(Classical) IPA: /ma.tʰeːˈma.ti.ka/, [ma.t̪ʰeːˈma.t̪ɪ.ka]

(Ecclesiastical) IPA: /ma.teˈma.ti.ka/, [ma.t̪ɛˈmaː.t̪i.ka]

If I understand the wikipedia page of international phonetic alphabet correctly, /tʰ/ is almost /t/, so the pronunciation of ma_the_matica is ma_te_matica??

Just evaluate this in your Mathematica session:

Speak["Mathematica"]

But how can I get the corresponding international phonetic alphabet (IPA)? WolframAlpha doesn’t seem to help.
