Write such functions in Wolfram|Alpha?

Hi, I’d like to ask a question about Wolfram Alpha. So far, I’ve not found a way to correctly write such type of functions

  • “dla” means “for”
    Especially, I want to make sure is the particular function continuous at a given point. I’ve tried with inputs such as “{((2(x^3-x^2))/abs(x-1)) for x != 1; 2 for x = 1}”, but Wolfram Alpha doesn’t seem to understand correctly what I mean.
    Thanks for any response

Hi Piotr,

Try these:

plot(piecewise({(2^x+3, x<=1), (3x+2, x >1)} - Wolfram|Alpha))
plot(piecewise({(2(x^3-x^2)/abs(x-1), x!=1 - Wolfram|Alpha),+(2,+x+%3D1)%7D))
plot(piecewise({(1/ln(x), 0<x<1 - Wolfram|Alpha),+(0,+x+%3D+0)%7D))

Wilson

Thanks, piecewise function is what I need.
