I am a physics professor at the Colorado School of Mines. I investigate the basic nature of light-matter interactions and explores ways of using this knowledge to advance science. My focus lies at the nexus of several traditional physics disciplines: topological quantum electrodynamics, quantum information science, condensed matter physics, singularity optics, and atomic/molecular/optical physics. I also explore the ontology and applications of Relational Quantum Mechanics.
