I am a graduate student in Bioengineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. With my interest in the intersection between biological science and engineering, I quit medical school and moved from Korea to the United States to explore my dream. After I received my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia, I continued my studies at MIT. Converging my interest in biology and natural skill in computer science, my research focus is on computational biology. Outside the classroom, I worked for Protein Biochemistry lab at Columbia, Genzyme Co., Hanwha Chemical Bio R&D Center, and Seoul National University Hospital, where I solidified my practical skills in hands-on research and research methods.
