User Portlet

I am the Chair of the Department of Mathematics at College of Coastal Georgia. I predominately use Mathematica in my courses as my lecture slides. It is particularly useful in the Calculus sequence where we can use Mathematica's graphing capabilities and manipulate function to visualize numerous concepts. It allows students to build a better intuition of how the mathematics works. I also use Mathematica in my freshmen class for non-majors: Mathematica allows us to visualize statistics - especially those quick polls taken in class.
