ABOUT ME:

I have started my professional carrier in 1964 as a mechanical engineer in SKODA factory in Pilsen after had been graduated at Technical University in Pilsen, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. In 1965 I moved to Central Research Institure of Skoda factory in Pilsen, Department of Applied Mathematics. Since 1964 I'm working with computers. First, with NE 803A, in 1976 I started to work with ICT 1905 using Fortran 1900 (a clone of Fortran IV). In 1982 I finished my Ph.D. study in area of continuum mechanics submitting the thesis on application of finite elements with curved boundaries in theory of elasticity. In 1984 I graduated in numerical mathematics at the Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. During 1987-1991 I worked as senior researcher in Institute for Technology and Reliability in Pilsen, Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. In 1996 I moved to the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Faculty of Economics, Department of Statistics and Operations Research. Since 2006 I'm working with Mathematica. At present, I'm staff member at the Department of Economics and Quantitative Methods.
