Thank you Mr. Mertig. I'll take this for a spin soonest. I did dabble with NETLink/COM a few days ago. I wasn't able to get something like "var = sh@Range[...]@Value" to complete on a single column of height 86370; no doubt mostly due to my...
Fresh install of MMA 11.1.1 over 11.1.0 on Windows x64, i7, 8 core, 16GB RAM. SSD drive. Loading tutorial/AudioProcessing produces a sequential set of "Formatting notebook contents" and "Wait for dynamic..." (sp) dialogs. For each one, I select...
Again IIRC, performance was an issue. I was trying to apply something like BinListsBy to very long lists. My implementation was never as performant as desired. Have you done any performance assessments on BinListsBy?
I've used URLSaveAsynchronous to do similar. Then create a rudimentary dashboard of active jobs with the below. Dynamic[Refresh[AsynchronousTasks[]//Column,UpdateInterval->1]]
Thank you. 11.1.1 doesn't appear on my User Portal page, perhaps because our license is for gridMathematica rather than Mathematica. gridMathematica releases tend to lag a bit. I'll ask WRI TS about this.

Is Reddit's experiment not inspired by [Lost's Countdown timer][1]? [1]: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Countdown_timer
For a performance baseline, I removed the blob column from the table, leaving the first two columns of doubles. Now the batch insert (the first) completed. But it took about 12 seconds. This seems very slow for an insert of 144 rows, each of 2...
As far as I can tell, gridMathematica version 10 is not yet released. If there is an explanation for this, would someone elaborate? Thank you, Vince
