I am an architect and use a lot of technology in my work and I used your project to find out how many bricks were on the side of the building and it worked perfectly!! I did have to binarize the image and use a threshold however. This is because of my image quality it wasn't able to detect the edges and the bricks merged together. This is great work and I'm very thankful for the help. This project was a great way of using image processing and it even has many interesting real world applications.
