Dr. Buitrago graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and pursued his graduate studies at MIT where he earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree, with specialization in System Dynamics and Controls and Robotics. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with a dissertation focused on Energy Load Forecasting using Artificial Neural Networks. He has authored a dozen papers in journals in a variety of topics. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. Dr. Buitrago has been a consultant for over 25 years and his clients include multinational companies with presence in Europe, Asia and the Americas. He is interested in machine learning, in particular in the field of linguistics.
