I am a theoretical researcher in the areas of non-equilibrium self-organization: using energy to self-configure otherwise passive systems in interesting, captivating or useful ways. This can be envisioned in many ways, but I approach it from roughly three interrelated questions i) how energy input alters the realizable phase space of realizable behavior, function etc ii) how a system may come to achieve such expanded phenomena spontaneously as a result of atypical dynamics iii) how these processes may be achieved externally, e.g. by precise control of internal parameters, or spontaneously induced via advantageous feedback towards achieving such task.
