I was born April 18th 1952 in Alessandria Italy. I am Full Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Torino soon stepping into retirement. My research career developed in the fields of General Relativity, Group Theory, Supergravity, Superstrings and all allied topics. I worked at CERN, at Caltech and NY University at Stony Brook at the beginning of my career. As professor I was visiting for periods of different lengths in many Universities and Laboratories of Europe and of the Americas. From 2009 to 2017 I served as Scientific Counsellor of the Embassy of Italy in Moskow. In 2002/3 I was in sabbatical in Kiev. I speak English French and Russian besides obviously Italian. In the last few years after my return to Italy I got involved in activities of industrial-scientiifc consultancy. In my scientific career I have been using all the time WOLFRAM MATHEMATICA as an essential tool. Lately my scientific interests have extended both in the direction of singularity resolutions in complex geometry and in the application of group theoretical methods in Fluid Dynamics. Besides science I am interested in literature and history. I have written a few novels and some historical essays both on the development of mathematical conceptions and on the political history of Russia and Ucraine.
