Margaux is passionate about physics, computer science, engineering, and mathematics. She especially loves diving into experimental particle physics, quantum mechanics, and relativity. Margaux has enjoyed working with CERN experimental data to determine various characteristics of elementary particles and using machine learning to identify particles from CERN’s particle energy deposition profiles. She has also researched fluid dynamics in complex plunger systems and explored the effect of symplectic relations on Hamiltonian mechanics. She is a World Science Scholar and a member of her school’s gold medal-winning United States Invitational Young Physicists Tournament team. In her free time, Margaux can be found playing the flute, engrossed in science fiction, and watching football.
