My research focuses on using light as a probe to understand light-matter interactions in various systems such as oxide, 2D materials, and topological materials in bulk and low dimensional forms. I have broad research interests in condensed matter physics, such as ferroelectric, wide and extreme band gap materials, topological materials, and functional materials. In particular, I have extensive research experience focusing on linear optics, nonlinear optics, and magneto-optics to understand materials' intrinsic electronic, spin, lattice, and their coupling effects.
